The future has tradition

Thus, the state-of-the-art equipped company still delivers beer daily to caterers around the brewery with the aid of the historical horse-drawn cart.

Four black and white pied carthorses of the “Norik” breed draw the traditional beer wagon and are a much photographed cultural feature of the Salzburg City scene. Thus, Stiegl is the only brewery in the whole of Austria that not only uses its horses festive processions or marketing purposes, but a traditionally preserved part of the everyday life of the brewery.
