Beer and football have been inextricably linked connected for ages. A cool, refreshing beer is, and always has been, part of a watching a good game of football..

As a sponsor of the ÖFB (Austrian league), we have been supporting the Austrian national team since 1998, a matter of pride for every Austrian football fan. Since 2003 we have expanded our cooperation with the ÖFB.

Beer is about more than just enjoyment and esprit as it is also an ideal isotonic drink for athletes - such as footballers. High water content and the important nutrients, minerals and vitamins lost through perspiration can be replaced by beer. Both professionals and amateurs swear by it and often enjoy a fresh Stiegl beer - or one of our fruity 'Radler' shandies after training or a game.
