Stiegl house beer Ruprecht Glühbier 2013 contains cherries, orange peel, cinnamon and cloves.

Ruprecht Glühbier 2013

A composition fit for Christmas: the delicately fruity perfume of cherries coupled with traditional winter spices produce an enchanting pleasure that goes beautifully with the cold season, Christmas markets, gingerbread and fruit cake, all thanks to a finely balanced interplay of sweetness and spice.

The notes of Dr. Kiener:

As I trod among the dark fir trees, the snow crunching beneath my boots, a bright idea sneaked quietly into my mind. I quickly hastened past the trees’ glittering needles, into the brew house, and headed for the comforting warmth of the copper. A stroke of luck – the beer was just being brewed. Cinnamon and cloves were in there, star anise too. The idea was fruitiness – cherries and oranges fulfilled this task. A wintry creation was produced in this evening hour; a pinch of allspice added the finishing touch. I saw them, the wide eyes of my brewers, glowing in anticipation. Very well, then – Christmas wasn’t too far away now and the Glühbier was perfect for it.
