The main purpose of drinking beer is not only to quench thirst but it also satisfies thirst for pleasure. According to a survey of the University of Montreal, beer also has a relaxing effect and lightens the mood. A glass of beer after work also helps relieve symptoms of work-related stress.

"Beer is a truly divine medicine."

— Paracelsus

500 years ago the famous physician Paracelsus had already ascertained that beer has a natural healing power and that moderate beer consumption is wholesome. Therefore Stiegl dedicated a special variety of beer to him - the Stiegl-Paracelsus-Zwickl which consists of 100 per cent Austrian ingredients from organic farming.

What’s more, beer is of great significance at social gatherings and therefore plays an important role in our society. To sum it up, drinking beer gives people an enormous zest for life.

Dr. Heinrich Dieter Kiener, Stiegl owner:

"What’s crucial is quite simply the responsible usage of beer and, as with many other things, here also applies the saying, ‘Too much of a good thing...’. Therefore the motto we live by is ‘Quality before quantity’ because enjoyment has top priority."
